Multisensory Evaluation of Classrooms

Several international researches confirms that poor acoustic quality of classrooms may lead to negative effects on students’ comprehension and to vocal diseases because of the excessive effort to talk loud. One of the possible solutions for such problems is to introduce sound absorbing materials.

In this case study the possible solutions to improve room acoustics quality were depicted in a VR application in order to get appraisal of students through proposed multisensory assessment method.

This project has been conducted by our team member Seckin Basturk at RiAS laboratory (SUN - Italy) within the scope of PhD research activities.
